Early one snowy, frost-bitten morning in Montana, Dad and I were sitting on the peak of a mountain. We watched the sun rise over the valley. The land waited for light, like a kid waiting for summer. The glowing rays cut through the mountain, and warmed the freezing air. Light looked lower and found the swerving stream. Elk were eating in the sparkling meadow. The deer chose to retreat to their beds for the day. A hawk watched two rabbits with his all seeing eyes. Tree’s were dancing to the singing of the birds. The light revealed to me the most wonderful gift of all, the gift of life. Never forget life’s a gift and it can be taken at anytime.
So there’s a mounted camera on the roof that identify’s you by your body and facial features then runs you through the data bank. If your ID is in the data bank you are let in. If it doesn’t recognize you a shotgun drops out of the roof and deals with the break-in the only good way to really deal with a break-in. If this kind of security was used we wouldn’t have crime like we do today.

My favorite movie is Conagher! Conagher is about this cowboy named Conagher who is tough as nails. Conagher is played by Sam Elliott. Let me just say Sam Elliott is like the epitomeof a real man. On the cover of the movie, Conagher, is reads ” none tougher.none faster. none deadlier.” That right there screams run away, no one wants to miss with a guy like that. In this movie the co-star is Katharine Ross as Edie. When the Movie begins Edie and her wholefamily are moving to this house out west to this little house thats in the middle of no where. They arrive and move in, but they need supplies. So her husband leaves to go to town, and while he’s riding to town his horse slips off the side of a mountain. The horse falls on him and crushes his body and the horse broke its neck. So now Edie is a widow and does’nt know it until her husband does’nt come home for three months. Good news is that they soon find out that their house is on a mail wagon route. and the wagons start using her house as a place to eat and to keep fresh horse’s. Once the horses had been there for a good while Edie and her family start seeing Indians at sun set almost every night. Then one day she meets Conagher because he brings in new horses with his two sidekicks one day. When Conagher and his Buddy’s left all Conagher and Edie could do was think about each other. The next morning Edie and her two kids were attacked by Indians and a wagon pulls up at just the right time and the Indiana flee. Winter comes and Conagher gets a job as a cattle guard. He finds out that the guys he’s working with are going to help the rest of their gang steal their bosses cattle. Conagher sets out to stop them, and gets shot in the leg but keeps going and brings the cattle rustlers to justice by killing their leader and one other, and then he tell the others to get out of town or he’ll kill them to. and then he finds these notes in tumbleweeds and he knows that it’s Edie. so Conagher goes back and marries her.

During my thanksgiving I was in west Virginia. First thing I did on Thanksgiving was get up at four in the morning. Then I went out hunting for some deer. It was great because i got to put my buddy Tony on about ten deer. He never shot one because he was scared I’d cut his shirt if he missed. I also got to slide all the way down the mountain, and you go really fast too! We both came back from hunting at twelve. Because that’s when mom and grandma Nancy said the food would be ready. when we made it back to the house the food wasn’t ready so I watched t.v. for a while. The food finished then we all when and sat at the table, and ate thanksgiving dinner at like 12:30. we had to have talk at the table for about an hour. after we had got done eating, we went to my aunt Cathy’s house for dessert. Now, My aunt Cathy makes the best chocolate eclair cake on earth, I ate at least five piece’s of it when we got to her house. I just hung out with my cousin’s and played some crazy games that nobody down here would ever play.I went back out hunting after we finished fooling around. I stayed out til it got dark and i couldn’t see. I came back to the house and they were playing my xbox. so I started to play it with them and i won almost every time. It started to get late so Kim and Tony left. I watched a movie with grandma Nancy and sis. Then I headed for bed because I had to get up early the next morning.

So the this past past week I have been hunting with my dad. The opening day of gun season me and dad went out to the hunting camp really early in the morning. I got up in my stand and waited all morning long. I did’nt see not one deer just eight turkeys. I swear I have bad luck because that same day my dad kills this monster buck. This deer was one of the bigger deer i’ve seen killed in Florida in a long time. So i’m in my treestand and my dad comes walking up and tells me “deer down bub!” I guess those are words only a hunter could understand how they make you feel. Good hunting is really addictive. You get such an adrenaline rush from hunting. Anyways so my dad kills this deer and mean while I have nothing. So all the times I have when out hunting in the past week I have’nt seen anything, but five does. I am really praying that my luck will change this year, so I can shoot a good one. Also I want it to change because i am leaving to go to West Virgina a do some hunting with my family there. I feel that if I can kill a deer there then I’ll have broken my bad luck streak. Also This week my gun fell and I think it got knockedout off sight. So now I have to get it sighted back in, or I’ll really be in trouble. Because when I did finally get a shot I’d shoot and miss, and in west Virgina if you miss a deer you get your shirt cut to shreds by the guys that go hunting with you. In short I really am going to have to shoot good and change my luck. Thanks for listening to my story!

Sitting in a treestand, watching and waiting.
The buck steps out of the woods
Going about his normal everyday life.
Then comes the choice, shoot or don’t shoot.
The hunter is faced with a difficult decision.
What might happen if he does?
What might happen if he doesn’t?
If he shoots, he could kill!
If he shoots, he could wound!
If the shot is never taken,
The buck will soon slip away.
The hunters thoughts are racing!
Which will win, to shoot or not to shoot.
Both thoughts are moving extremely fast!
It is always a tight competion between these two.
The race is over to shoot is the winner!
The hunter delicately raises his gun to the right spot.
As he looks through the scope he knows what he can do.
Its power is flowing to his finger.
Then, in the crisp, clear morning.
BANG! The sound run through the wood like a charging cavalry.
But for a second, then disappears as if a ghost.
Silence is restored, The Smoke Clears,
There the buck now lays lifeless.
And the hunter realizes, he really has it’s power!
The power is, The power of change!

In Washington D. C. they honor those men that died for freedom. They have many monuments in D. C. to honor the soldiers who died. My favorite one was the World War two monument. In this this monument they have a ton of amazing quotes. I will give a few of these quotes, “our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid they have earned our undying gratitude America will never forget their sacrifices.” I like this one, and it is true for me, I will never forget. But i believe some people living in our nation have. this one is my favorite one, “they fought together as brothers-in-arms, they died together and now they sleep side by side. To them we have a solemn obligation.” It has one pillar for each state. These represented the soldiers that fought for each state; and each pillar had a wreath hanging on it. Then the monument had a big oval shaped pool. The pool had alot of fountains in it. And all the fountains shot towards the center of the pool, where one bigger fountain shot straight up. I think there was two other big fountains at each end of the oval shaped pool. This monument also had to big, like double arches that were covered. on them reads one Atlantic and one pacific. And in them hung one wreath held up by two bald eagles. Then one of the things that really stands out about this monument is the wall with stars on it everywhere. These stars have a meaning to. Each one of these stars represents one hundred brave men who paid freedoms price. There is approximately five hundred stars on this wall. All this is nice but it doesn’t come close to what those soldiers deserve. these men did so much for our country. And I for one, thank them all for everything they’ve done. The part of this monument is all the pillars. It is a good example of how being unified as one body we can accomplish great things.
